Since 1927, Schroeder’s Automotive Specialists has been providing our friends and neighbors in Huntington with dependable, trustworthy auto repair services. And with many 5-star reviews, we are proud of our reputation as one of the Huntington area’s best auto repair shops. Our mechanics can handle all the automotive maintenance and repairs drivers most commonly request, specializing in engine repair, transmission repair, brake repair, and auto electrical work.
Our owner, Dave Schroeder, grew up in the shop, and continued to work as a technician and manger after he graduated from high school. He became full owner in 2005 when his dad, Bob, passed away. Dave’s oldest son, Josh, also grew up in and around the business, but went to Trine University for a while after high school, studying mechanical engineering. After three years, Josh missed being at the shop and came to work here again full-time in May of 2004. We currently have several family members working at Schroeder’s Automotive Specialists, including Dave, Lon (Dave’s brother), Bob (Dave’s brother-in-law), Josh, Chris (Dave’s youngest son), and Grandma Janice (Dave’s mom) still comes in daily to the west shop.
